Candy Cane Tut

Any other similarity is purely coincidental
and was done in psp 9 Any other versions should work
This tutorial was written for those
that have working knowledge of psp
Tools and Supplies Needed
PSP
Eyecandy - Optional
Font of choice
Template 125 by Blissfully Beth

This tube was part of a Christmas Package gift by MPT
and is not available for purchase
I used the art by Keith Garvey
you will need to purchase a license to use his art

♥ Ready Let's Start ♥
(1) Open psp
(2) Open Template 125
Shift + D to duplicate the template
close the original
delete the bottom layer and credit layer
(3) Highlight the candy cane layer
add noise of choice if desired
add drop shadow of choice
(4) Highlight the top layer ( wordart )
add noise of choice if desired
then apply a fat gradient glow
add drop shadow of choice
(5) Highlight the oval layer
selections - select all - selections float - selections defloat
layers - new raster layer - flood fill with gradient of choice
add noise of choice and paste your close up tube
resize as needed and position - see mine
selections - invert - hit delete on the tube layer
add drop shadow of choice
add a fat white gradient glow to the oval layer
drop shadow of choice
delete the original oval layer
(6) Highlight the long rectangle layer
selections - select all - selections float - selections defloat
layers - new raster layer - flood fill with gradient of choice
or pattern / paper of choice - selections - select none
delete the original layer
(7) Repeat with the long rectangle frame layer
add drop shadow of choice
(8) Copy and paste main tube as a new layer
and position within the long rectangle - see mine
light drop shadow of choice
(9) Highlight the oval frame layer
selections - select all - float - defloat
modify- contract by 1 selections invert
add noise at 50 select none
add drop shadow to the oval frame layer
(10) Crop resize tag - add your name and credits
if you want a white background layer
add a new raster layer at the bottom of the layers
flood fill white - if you want a transparent background
just leave off and your done
Merge all layers visible- save as PNG
